It is a tool of the authoritarian cabal which has now infiltrated every corner of the nation's heart and soul. Not only does it divide - it confuses. Even the most erudite of commentators are confused, and cite Marxism, or just extreme socialism, as the political creed behind the drive for power over the people. But, in fact it is National Socialism - known otherwise as Fascism. A partnership between government, the private sector and the unions (where they still exist) to concentrate uncontested power at the centre. As the German Fascists used anti-Semitism to cloak its power grab, so the new authoritarians use racism, and the emotional appeal of wokeness. Because the woke incorporate perfectly standard and accepted forms of tolerance, the poison is made easier to digest.
