I met Herschel Walker in Memphis. I was walking my dog and he pulled up in his red Volvo and started asking about my puppy. He lived in my same neighborhood and was playing football for the Memphis Showboats- the USFL team. He reached over w his hand and said HI I'm Herschel Walker-- I was kind of stunned-- the guy was just so kind, and friendly. He would make a fine Senator. I would be so ecstatic to see him in DC

Perhaps the most disgusting feature of the Democratic Party's deeply embedded racism is its patronising attitude to their fellow African American citizens. Dr King must be spinning in his grave. The worst example is the campaign to eliminate photo ID from electoral qualification - the implication being African Americans are too primitive to know how to obtain ordinary identification. Once again the Republican Party has made too little of this outrage.
