I'm afraid calling DeSantis a "better Republican" is an unintended insult - but nevertheless an insult. The GOP is a disgrace. Hopelessly split in the face of what should be the easiest of victories over the most scandalously incompetent and corrupt administration in history, still dominated by pro war neocons who have not learned the lessons of failed foreign policies, and soft on fiscal discipline when their own interests are involved - I rather think DeSantis is better than that. But I still think he is not tough enough to turn the country around. But, at this point, perhaps nobody is.
