I do so hope you are right - but still have my doubts. Ordinarily this tsunami of unpopularity would cause the party in power to shift policies to the middle ground. But the administration is "doubling down". This suggests they are not worried about the mid terms as they expect to rig them - using techniques perfected since 2020.
