We are witnessing a revolution - long planned and so far brilliantly executed, to destroy the nation as presently constituted with an authoritarian model, inspired by the Chinese example of a one party dictatorship with capitalism allowed to a limited number of party supporters. Exceptionally in revolutionary history, this one does not want to replace one elite with another, but rather to protect the existing bureaucratic, corporate and financial elite from the exposure of its profound corruption. Its goals are encapsulated in the new world agenda of "Davos man", utterly fed up with democracy and determined to eliminate sovereign nations, democracy's main protectors, and to move towards authoritarian world government. In this context our own national politics fade into irrelevance.
