The trouble with grasping at straws is that they don't float for very long and can't take any weight. The GOP debaters all sang off the same hymn sheet. They all praised Trump economics without mentioning Trump. It's rather like praising the Sistine Chapel ceiling without mentioning Michaelangelo (or Charlton Heston, for that matter). Several are still trapped in the January 6th insurrection con. Evidence that was organized by the Dems is beginning to spill out. Ditto the 2020 election. Evidence the courts refused to hear is now going to come out in court. What an irony! I have no doubt most do not want a Biden/Trump re-run. But who else? Can the Dems dump Biden at this late stage? And sing as they might, can the GOP alternatives sing loud enough to drown out Trump?
